I.V. MACINTOSH BLADE
(IMPROVED VISION BLADE)
Present day Macintosh Blades are curved at the
mid-portion; thus creating a "Crest of the Hill" effect
through which vision is not possible.
The I.V. Macintosh Blade is concave at
the mid-portion and thus allows superior visualization
- without the necessity to change technique.
The tip of the blade is still in front of the
Epiglottis in the Vallecula as was
prescribed by Sir Robert Macintosh, but the
Improved Vision allows safer and more predictable
endoscopy and intubation.

AMERICAN LO-PROFlLE
This blade design provides the extended channel to
users who prefer the American Profile Macintosh
blade.
